Christina Haack was conceived in Anaheim, California. Her first job after leaving school was in the field of real estate. This is how she met her partner, Tarek El Moussa. After the 2008 crash of the stock market, many investors in real estate and home flippers were unable to make their profits. In the aftermath of the financial crisis, Tarek and Christina El Moussa almost lost everything. After moving from a house that cost them $6,000 per year to an apartment costing $700, they nearly lost all their possessions. The company slowly recovered and their economy. HGTV and Rise to Fame Tarek enlisted an accomplice to assist in the production of an HGTV video audition in 2011. The tape showed Tarek as well as Christina working together in flipping the inside of a home. Pie Town Productions' executives were able to access the tape. The couple fell in love Tarek and Christina. In 2012, the couple signed a contract with HGTV. Then, in April of 2013, "Flip of Flop" was launched. From 2013 to 2017, 92 episodes were aired over seven seasons. In the show, Christina and Tarek would purchase properties, usually homes with a moderate income situated in Orange County, and would then proceed to spend several months making improvements so that they could sell the home in order to earn a profit. Tarek handles construction, demolition and renovations. Christina keeps everything running in a timely manner.
