LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American basketball professional who is a player for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Nicknamed King James he is widely thought to be one of the best players ever to play and is frequently compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the best basketball player in history. James is the winner of four NBA Championships as well as Four NBA MVP Awards, four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He also has 2 Olympic Gold Medals. James scored more points during the playoffs. He also has the second most points in his career and is seventh in career assists. The NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, a record. James was also named to be on the NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. There were ten NBA Finals, the most than any other player in the history of basketball. He was a part of eight consecutively from 2011 to 2018. James made his way onto the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. In 2022, he became one of the few NBA player to achieve 10,000 points in his career. James was a basketball player for St. Vincent St. Mary High School in his hometown of Akron Ohio and was heavily advertised by national media as a potential NBA star. James was a pre-pro player and was selected as the first pick to his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft in 2003. He was selected as one of the NBA player of the year for 2004. Soon he became one of the top players of the NBA, winning the NBA MVP award in during 2009 and 2010. James, who didn't achieve the Cleveland championship in 2010, left as free agent, and then joined the Miami Heat. This was made clear within The Decision. It is one of the most controversial moves made by a sports free agent in history.
